FilledFrame is Changing the Print-Selling Game

There are a lot of companies out there who will help you set up and host an online photo gallery. Of course, they charge you for the privilege. What they don’t tell you is the dirty little secret of the gallery-building industry; the majority of photographers end up spending more to host their galleries than their galleries bring in.

Cost aside, setting up a gallery takes a lot of time and effort. What’s more, once you have a gallery you need to consistently work to drive traffic to the site if you want to sell anything. If would-be customers see something they like on your profile, you are essentially telling them, "Go somewhere else (my gallery) and see if you can find it there if you want to purchase a print." Of course, you may not have included that specific photograph when you set up your gallery.

There is good news though. You don’t actually need a gallery to start selling prints. You are already showcasing your photography - we let you meet customers where they are - on your social media profile.

FilledFrame provides on-demand quotes directly from your profile into the DM's of your friends, family, and followers. providing a gallery-like experience without the hassle or other downsides of having a gallery. We only sell high-end products, from our fine-art, sustainable paper, to our range of mounting and framing options; so rest assured your FilledFrame prints are sure to look amazing.

Additional Information

Pricing

We are just getting started, so we are keeping it simple using standardized pricing. In the future, we will let Creators set their own markup.

Markup / Payouts

This is what we charge customers above and beyond the physical cost of the print. Your payout and our commission both come out of this portion of the price.

We take a 25% commission, the other 75% is all you.

Currently we charge a $20 markup for an 8x10 print. For other sizes we adjust the price by 1/2 of the amount charged per square inch (12.5 cents/inch2) - which changes the price by more than you might think. No need to get out your calculator, we did the math on some common sizes in the Pricing Examples table below

Physical Cost

This incorporates the cost of the physical print and the fees charged by our payment processor.

We do not mark up the prices set by our fulfillment partner (more on them in the FAQs) for mounting and framing. This keeps the price as low as possible for your customers. It also means that your payout is unaffected by mounting and framing options and is determined solely by the size of the print, according to the formula above.

Pricing Examples

The table below provides details on the price, physical cost, and your payout for some common sizes. The cost and customer price are based on our eco-friendly paper prints. The markup and payout would be the same regardless of any mounting and framing options selected, though the physical cost and customer price would change.

Please note that the sizes available and aspect ratio will vary based on the dimensions and resolution of the photograph.

Note: All numbers are rounded
"Physical Cost" includes payment fees
